Lore:The players survived a shipwreck and gathered on the shores of Vylin Tor for a journey to the city of Marinth. Accompanied by Holdyr Seyth, the noble who owns the region's lands, the players fought their way through waves of Ruinshades and the Vek. The players learned that the storms in the area had been manipulated by a being called the Stormcaller, and eventually found the Stormcaller and defeated her in combat. When defeated, she left behind a black crystal and seemed to fade away into the air.
Shortly after the battle, the players encountered a large patrol of guards from Marinth, who recognized the Holdyr and offered to escort the group back to the city. The players continue traveling toward Marinth for two more days, finally arriving at the city. Holdyr Seyth asks the players to accompany him to his home immediately, so that they may hear the reports on the developments in the land while he has been away.
OOG Notes: At game-time-in, the PCs are just approaching Holdyr Seyth's home. They have been offered the use of the outlying buildings around the Holdyr's home (which is the central lodge/kitchen). The three cabins closes to the entrance of Lawler Alpine are for PC use, and will be in-game at all times. If you are not comfortable sleeping in-game, please camp in one of the cabins further away; the other three cabins will be out-of-game for the evening, but may be used in-game at certain points during the event. NPCs and staff may sleep in the OOG cabins or sleep in-character along with the PCs at their choice. If PCs wish to sleep in the Holdyr's home (the lodge/kitchen), they may ask him for permission to do so in-game.
The cabins have bunk beds and heaters, but we recommend bringing a sleeping bag and/or blankets. The lodge/kitchen area does not have beds; if you are interested in sleeping in there in-game, bringing a cot or sleeping mat is recommended. You may also bring a tent and set it up near the PC area if you choose.
If you choose to sleep in-game, be prepared for the possibility that there may be encounters in your cabins or the Holdyr's home in the middle of the night. The OOG cabins, however, will be "safe" and you may choose to sleep in them if you wish to.

Lore: Holdyr Seyth, the ruler of the lands of Marinth on the continent of Vylin
Tor, recently gathered a large band to accompany him on a sea voyage from the
city Terisgard on the continent of Mythralis back to his own lands. Catastrophe
strikes as an unnatural storm smashes into Holdyr Seyth's ships, throwing the
vessels off course. The captains are experienced at their trade, but the storm
rages with unbridled fury - and the sorcerers among the band sense the power of
a dominion unleashed against them. The ships are forced to land many miles from
Marinth, but still within Holdyr Seyth's lands. With the ships badly battered
by the storm, the group will be forced to make their way to Marinth on foot -
but the sorcerers with the group warn that whoever unleashed the ravaging storm
may be lying in wait nearby.

Event Description:
Mistakes happen.
Thinking you
can challenge the higher powers... that gets you in trouble.
Some
will believe that you have died, others vanished without a trace.
If
you had a follower they would believe you have ascended.
However
the truth is far worse than that. You have achieved absolute freedom.
Think it's fun? Greatness comes at a price.
You may be heroes,
but you have seen nothing. Let us remove the haze.
You have achieved
freedom, but the cost to truly be free is much higher.
Now, you are
children again, and I will try to help you.
What little I know
and have seen I will share. I hold nothing against
any of you for
letting me die, it was foolish to think that such an
existence was
all that remains.
Welcome to the beginning and the end. For such
concepts no longer apply to you.
Maybe next time the simple life a
turnip farmer will be more appealing.
